This March, let's unite to raise awareness about cerebral palsy (CP), a condition affecting an estimated 17 million individuals worldwide. At Peacocks Medical, we are proud to support this important cause. Our team of experienced orthotists is dedicated to providing personalised care and innovative solutions to help people with CP live their best lives.

What is Cerebral Palsy?

Cerebral palsy is a group of disorders that affect a person's ability to move, maintain balance, and posture. It is caused by damage to the developing brain, often before birth. CP can affect people in different ways, ranging from mild to severe.

How Peacocks Medical Can Help

Our orthotists specialise in prescribing and fitting a wide range of orthotic devices, including:

  • AFOs (Ankle-Foot Orthoses): These devices support the foot and ankle, improving balance and gait.
  • KAFOs (Knee-Ankle-Foot Orthoses): These devices provide support for the knee, ankle, and foot, helping with stability and walking.
  • HKAFOs (Hip-Knee-Ankle-Foot Orthoses): These devices offer comprehensive support for the hip, knee, ankle, and foot, providing significant assistance with mobility.
  • Custom-made seating and positioning systems: These systems help maintain proper posture and prevent deformities.

Our Commitment to CP Awareness

Throughout March, we will be sharing stories and information about CP awareness on our social media channels. We encourage you to follow us and join the conversation.

Together, We Can Make a Difference

By raising awareness and supporting individuals with CP, we can create a more inclusive and understanding society. Peacocks Medical is committed to providing the highest quality care and support to people with CP.
